Job Title: Aircraft Leasing VP Technical (startup platform)
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Salary: Flexible – dependent on experience
Employment Type: Full-time
We have been retained by a financial institution which is setting up a new aviation investment business and has a requirement for a VP Technical. This is a critical role that will oversee all aspects of aircraft risk management from initial inspection and valuation, through the life cycle and particularly managing aircraft re-delivery / onward sale or part-out.
Responsibilities:
- Review and negotiate technical terms for aircraft transactions.
- Oversee inspections, maintenance, and due diligence for fleet management.
- Manage projects involving aircraft delivery, transition, and storage.
- Support investment analysis and maintenance rate adjustments.
- Build and maintain relationships with OEMs, MROs, and regulators.
Requirements:
- Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or FAA/EASA certification with at least 7+ years in aircraft transition management, ideally from a lessor.
- Expertise in maintenance programs, technical records, and lease documentation.
- Proficiency in project management and stakeholder coordination.
